"There is a legend about a mask that used to be worn by the Aztek Head Sorcerer. It granted the wearer incredible power and wisdom, but destroyed his soul. Every Head Sorcerer had to swear an oath on his life to only use the mask for the good of the Aztek people. Even then, the Head Sorcerers wore it only in time of great need, and only as long as necessary. When the Spanish Conquistadores came, Qentar, the last Head Sorcerer, decided that the evil Conquistadores should never get their hands on the mask, because the consequences would be unbearable. So he threw it in a volcano, before he was killed by the Spanish invaders. He hoped that the scorching hot lave would destroy the mask, but he was wrong. The legend goes that up until now, the mask is still lying at the bottom of the volcano, not only keeping it active and powerful, but mostly waiting. Waiting for a new master to present himself and put it on..."

I'm extremely happy with the image, except for the fact that I can't get the stupid grain out!!! I tried with Photoshop and managed to screw up. So I love the image, but I hate the grain. If anyone knows how to remove the grain (especially on the sides of the "nose"), I will personally worship you! :D

Fascinating design and an interesting take on the concept... You would be the sort of person I would look to for logos.

Sadly, I am wretched at Photoshop, being but a newbie, so I doubt I can help much with the grain. Perhaps adding a layer and being very careful in defining it about the nose, then filling with the same shade of red?

Yeah, I tried that, but in the end, the blur effect was all gone and it looked even worse, so I thought "meh, too bad" :P
Also, my fractals sprout from sheer luck and tinkering with things, it's not like I was working towards or according to a certain plan. So I'm not sure if it'd be smart to come to me for logos ;)
Still, many thanks for the compliments! :D I'm glad you like it. I tried to make a DA avatar out of it, but the proportions make it look extremely laughable, so I decided against it :P

I havent even said that I like it didn't I :O nou bij deze :P ey vraagje, hoe sla je je fractals op? of maak je eerst een printscreen? want dat zou die grains verklaren

Je rendert ze naar een .jpg, dus dat ist zeker niet ;) Die grain is compleet normaal aangezien hij punten door een functie haalt, en dan is (zkr in combinatie met een Blur) het normaal dat je zo wat punten hebt. Twas ook niet meteen de bedoeling om dit uit te komen, meestal kijk k wel waark uitkom bij mn fractals :P dusja, de functie wou gwn niet meewerken :P

heeft je blur ook niet een bepaalde "mode"? in photoshop kun je dat namelijk ook bepalen, t heet daar dissolve ofzo, krijg je ipv een smooth blur ook van die grain dingen

Nee :P bij Apo blurt hij gwn pixels samen, tis helemaal anders. Ik ga het gwn opgeven op die grain :P dr was gwn te veel om deftig weg te krijgen neemk aan ;)
